Project Art3mis Minecraft Server Logging Policy: Privacy-First Anarchy
Welcome to Project Art3mis, the Minecraft server where true anarchy thrives, creativity knows no bounds, and player freedom reigns supreme. As part of our rebranding from CalifrogMC, we've doubled down on our commitment to player privacy and minimal oversight. Here’s what you need to know about our updated logging policy:
Do We Keep Logs? Barely.
At Project Art3mis, we believe in keeping the chaos pure and unmonitored. We don’t see the need to hold onto player information, and we consider server logs a waste of space. Here’s how we handle logs:
- Minimal Data Retention: Log files are only kept temporarily—purged automatically every week.
- Crash-Only Policy: Logs are exclusively retained to investigate server crashes. However, in the past 10 months of operation, we haven’t needed them once.
- No IP Collection: We don’t store IP addresses beyond immediate use. IP data is purged every other week, ensuring compliance with privacy standards.
Our Stance on Player Data and Privacy
Project Art3mis is committed to respecting player privacy, and we go the extra mile to keep it that way:
- Chat Reporting Disabled: We’ve installed plugins to permanently disable chat reporting. What happens in Art3mis stays in Art3mis.
- No Snooping: We don’t monitor or store gameplay data beyond crash diagnostics.
- GDPR Compliance: For players from the European Union, we aim to comply with GDPR by not retaining personal data. IP addresses are regularly deleted.
Why We Log at All
Logs serve a singular purpose: keeping the server running smoothly. We only review logs to identify and resolve server crashes or technical issues. No logs are used to monitor player behavior, enforce rules, or police the server.
The Art3mis Oath of Anarchy
By the Order of The Royal Decree: Anything that happens in Art3mis, stays in Art3mis. Our world is a realm of unfiltered creativity and unrestrained chaos, where players shape the landscape and write their own stories. We’re here to provide the sandbox—what you build or destroy within it is entirely up to you.
Play freely, create without limits, and rest easy knowing your privacy is protected. Welcome to Project Art3mis.
