Write a tale from the job interview: This job seeker went viral after applying fcr a management position at major retailer being told it pays $12.50 mid-interview. It's not that nobody wants to work anymore, it's that nobody wants to be exploited. It seems like boomers I talk to just can’t grasp this concept. they just think we should bow down to our corporate oppressors and work for a pittance just because pro capitalist propaganda goes really hard. We traded kings for CEOs. At least kings felt and had a responsibility towards their kingdom and subjects. A lot lived in fear of noble-class revolts or being overthrown by nobles militias or peasant revolts. The wealthy in capitalism control near everything, including the media, military, and government. All the checks and balances historically have been removed under capitalism, especially when the capitalists defeated unions. This is why these people act like they do. They dont care about optics or the people. They live entirely without fear. This system is far worse than many monarchies, at least in its late stages.

A king that went out of his way to unhouse, impoverish, and starve his peasants would be seen as a monster and dethroned. In capitalism, a CEO that does this would be seen as a visionary leader. The setting is a Dystopian word where labor exploitation is prevalent and unions are outlawed
