Revenge Procrastination: Why Gen Z Stays Up Late to Reclaim Their Time

Imagine this: You've just finished a long day at work or school, feeling drained and uninspired. Finally, you have a chance to relax and unwind. But instead of doing something you enjoy, you find yourself scrolling through social media, watching videos, or cleaning the house – anything but the task you actually need to do.

This phenomenon is called revenge procrastination, and it's a growing trend among Gen Z. It's the act of delaying important tasks (like studying, working on a project, or cleaning) in favor of leisure activities during your free time in the evenings or at night.

Why Revenge Procrastination?

There are a few reasons why revenge procrastination might be so common among Gen Z:

The Downside of Revenge Procrastination
