Minecraft/Bedrock
Not to be confused with Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.
Bedrock: Minecraft’s Indestructible Adamantium (But Not Really)
Ah, bedrock—the unbreakable foundation of the Minecraft world. A block so sturdy, so indestructible, that even the most overpowered tools, TNT, and pure gamer rage cannot put a dent in it. To the OGs, it’s known as Adamantium, but unlike the X-Men version, this one won’t make you immortal—it just reminds you that you’ve reached the limits of what Mojang allows you to do.
For most players, seeing bedrock at the bottom of the world is normal. But when you see random bedrock above ground, that’s when you start questioning reality.
- Is it a glitch in the matrix?
- Did Mojang slip up again?
- Or was it just an admin flexing their god powers? (spoiler: it’s the admin)
But what if I told you bedrock isn’t as indestructible as you think?
🔨 Breaking the Unbreakable: Bedrock’s Weaknesses
Despite Mojang’s best efforts to make bedrock completely unbreakable, Minecraft players have a simple philosophy:
"If it exists, it can be broken."
Over the years, players have discovered exploits, glitches, and unintended mechanics that let you do the impossible—breaking bedrock itself.
Here are some of the finest ways to snap reality in half:
1️⃣ The Nether Roof Glitch – "God Left This Open"
Mojang, in their infinite wisdom, decided to put a layer of bedrock at Y=127 in the Nether to prevent players from escaping. But what did the players do? Escape anyway.
How?
- Use Ender Pearls to glitch through gaps in the ceiling.
- Trapdoors & Crawling Mechanics to squeeze through like a bug.
- Piston, TNT, and Nether Portals to phase shift yourself into the forbidden void.
Once you’re on top? Infinite flat space. No mobs. No rules. A blank canvas for whatever cursed project you’re planning.
Mojang, seeing this, never patched it—probably because it became a feature by accident.
2️⃣ The Dragon Egg & Piston Combo – "Oops, Physics"
- Place a piston next to a bedrock block.
- Use a dragon egg on top to mess with gravity.
- Trigger the piston at the right moment...
- Bedrock? What bedrock?
It turns out, Minecraft physics is held together by duct tape and prayers, so using gravity blocks + pistons can trick the game into deleting bedrock like it never existed.
3️⃣ The Wither Method – "Let’s See Who’s Really Indestructible"
- Spawn a Wither right next to bedrock.
- Hope it gets angry and phases through reality.
- Sometimes, it just decides to delete bedrock out of pure rage.
If this method fails? Congratulations, you now have an angry, invincible boss trapped underground, ruining someone’s day forever.
4️⃣ The Tree Growth Glitch – "Nature Finds a Way"
- Plant a tree near bedrock.
- Bone meal the hell out of it.
- If done right, the tree generates and “eats” the bedrock block.
Yes, this actually worked in older versions. Mojang never explained why trees were allowed to break the fabric of reality, but they patched it later because players kept escaping into the void.
⚠️ The Dangers of Breaking Bedrock
If you break the wrong bedrock, congratulations—you now have a one-way ticket to the void.
- Break Nether Floor? Fall into endless suffering.
- Break End Floor? Say hello to the true End.
- Break Overworld Bedrock? Nothing happens. But now your world is cursed.
And if an admin catches you doing it?
- Expect immediate consequences.
- Or maybe a free rank upgrade for showing ingenuity. Who knows?
🤔 Is It a Bug or a Feature?
Mojang’s response to bedrock-breaking glitches has been... inconsistent.
- Sometimes they patch it instantly (because they don’t trust us).
- Sometimes they leave it in (because even they find it funny).
- And sometimes, they just pretend it doesn’t exist (like the Nether roof exploit).
In the end, bedrock is Minecraft’s ultimate test of patience.
- Can you break it? Yes.
- Should you break it? Probably not.
- Will you try anyway? Absolutely.
And that’s the beauty of Minecraft anarchy.
Go forth, defy Mojang’s intent, and break reality itself—just don’t fall into the void. 🚀
